Looking for ways to add a little extra fun to February this year?

Here are 10+ ways to add some Valentine fun for your family!

  1. Hide and seek hearts. Hide paper hearts or heart-shaped objects around the house for family members to find, and re-hide throughout the month!

  2. Shape food into hearts such as homemade pizza, or burgers! Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to make toast, waffles, pancakes, or sandwiches into Valentine-themed food.

  3. Guess how many heart candies are in the jar! Does the winner take all? Does the winner share with the family and win a different perk?

  4. Use magnetic word tiles to create poetry on the fridge!

  5. Decorate a box as a family to collect incoming Valentine's mail and goodies.

  6. Let the kids use construction paper to decorate their bedroom doors for Valentine’s Day, or challenge them to decorate it for something they love like a sport, animal, or type of food.

  7. Leave out a heart-shaped pad of sticky notes, so the family can make notes to leave around the house for each other.

  8. Bake Valentine treats to leave off for friends and neighbors.

  9. Handcraft cards to send to family in the mail.

  10. Have the kids plan a date night dinner for the parents. Older kids could even cook dinner, while younger kids can set the table and decorate!

  11. Check out these festive books and games for the family…

    1. The Valentine Bears

    2. Dear Valentine Madlibs

    3. Valentine’s Day Word Search

    4. 1,000 piece Candy Heart Jigsaw Puzzle

I hope you enjoy a festive February!
